1. Ace-Ace (A-A): This is the best two hole cards you can get in Hold’em. Known as pocket rockets, bullets and American Airlines, it is the best hand that wins more than any other hand.
2. King-King (K-K): The second best Hold’em hand is also known as Cowboys and wins more than any other hand except Aces.
3. Queen-Queen (Q-Q): Pocket queens or “the ladies” as they are also known, is a very strong hand and will win a majority of pots.
4. Ace-King (A-K): Ace-king is the strongest of the drawing hands. Always worth of a raise, especially if they are suited, hitting the flop with an Ace or king really makes this hand pay off.
5. Jack-Jack (J-J): When playing at a full table, pocket jacks will win approximately 20% of the time. Use caution if any over cards hit the board, but if they don’t you will be in the lead.
6. Ace-Queen (A-Q): Second only to A-K, ace-queen is the second best drawing hand. A-Q suited has the same win rate as J-J, winning approximately 20% of the time.
7. King-Queen (K-Q): If no ace hits the board, K-Q especially suited, is an excellent drawing hand.
8. Ace-Jack (A-J): Ace-jack is also a great drawing hand, especially if they are suited. Caution should be taken if an ace hits the board, you may be outkicked.
9. King-Jack (K-J): King-jack is a good hand to play especially in later positions but should be folded if there is a lot of raising. If suited, it will win around 19% of the time and unsuited will win approximately 15% of the time.
10. Ace-Ten (A-10): Ace-ten is still a good hand, mainly because of the ace and the high straight possibilities if a J-Q-K should fall on the board. Like with A-J, use caution because if an ace is on the board, you may be out-kicked.
