H.O.S.E. Poker

HOSE is almost the same as HORSE poker with one exception – the game dos not include Razz. This means that in HOSE players have to switch from Omaha Hi-Lo to Seven Card Stud immediately. Its is a perfect variation of a traditional HORSE game for those feel that they're not yet ready for HORSE or just want to take part in a simple mixed game and have some good time.

H – Limit Texas Hold'em

O – Limit Omaha Hi-Lo (8 or better)

S – Limit Seven Card Stud

E – Limit Seven Card Stud Hi-Lo (8 or better)

The game of HOSE starts with Limit Holdem which is then followed by Limit Omaha Hi-Lo, Seven Card Stud and Seven Card Stud Hi-Lo. When the final round of Seven Card Stud Hi-Lo is finished the game goes back to Limit Texas Hold'em and so on. If the game is played online the poker variation that is being played can be seen at the top corner of the game window.

When the game switches from Omaha Hi-Lo to Seven Card Stud the dealer button stops. Therefore when it all goes back to Texas Holdem (after Seven Card Stud Hi-Lo) none of the players miss any blinds and do not submit more than they should.

H.O.S.E. Poker Limits

All of the poker variations played in HOSE are limit games. There is no pot-limit or no-limit poker in HOSE. Limits (e.g. $5-$10) do not change during the whole game, so Texas Hold'em is played in $5-$10 limits as well as $5-$10 Limit Omaha etc.

Conclusion

HOSE poker is a good way to improve one's poker skills of those variations that are played during the game. HOSE along with HORSE prove that it is possible to play more than one game at one poker table. However, in order to be successful at HOSE and HORSE one must first practice all of the variations individually and only then sit at the mixed game tables.
